I was just a young boy from a small neighborhood called Cité de l’Air, chasing a dream I couldn’t yet define. Every day after school, I’d find myself in front of that old wall, hitting tennis balls for hours — no coach, no crowd, just the rhythm of the ball and something deep inside me that wouldn’t let me stop.

I didn’t come from a place where world travel or global recognition were common goals. But tennis opened a door I never knew existed. At 18, I left Morocco and landed in the United States. I didn’t just play — I thrived. Four-time All-American. NCAA Division 1 MVP. Ranked number 2 in the country. And for ten years, I gave everything to represent Morocco in the Davis Cup, heart and soul on the court every match.

Then came the injury — the kind that stops a dream in its tracks. My knee gave out, and with it, a chapter of my playing career came to a close. It wasn’t easy. But I wasn’t done.

I turned to coaching. From private clubs to international academies, I dedicated myself to developing players, especially kids. I loved it. But something still felt missing. I wanted to do more than teach technique — I wanted to inspire, to connect, to bring tennis back to the center of people’s lives in a way that included discovery, culture, and meaning.

That’s how Tennis Destination was born.

In 2016, I organized our first trip to Morocco. The moment I stepped onto the court, surrounded by the people, the culture, the magic of it all — I knew. The calling had stopped. I had arrived. The boy from Cité de l’Air had found his purpose — blending the joy of tennis with the wonder of travel.

Since then, I’ve traveled to 84 countries. And yet, I feel like I’m just getting started.
