Welcome to Morocco

We just want to say — from the bottom of our hearts — welcome. You’ve made it. Not just to Morocco, but to something you’ve been quietly searching for. Maybe it was adventure. Maybe connection. Maybe just a breath of fresh air. Whatever brought you here, we’re so grateful you listened to that instinct.
This week is about more than tennis. It’s about joy. It’s about presence. It’s about remembering what it feels like to play — to move, to laugh, to explore, to be cared for.
Morocco has a way of awakening something in you. And we’re honored to experience it by your side.
– With love,
Mo & Roseann

Day 1

Touching down in Casablanca, you’ll be met by your private driver and whisked to Rabat — Morocco’s breezy, blue-washed capital. At the hotel, a warm welcome awaits: curated goody bags, a brief trip orientation, and time to unwind. Most guests opt for rest or indulge in a traditional hammam. In the evening, we’ll gather for a relaxed welcome dinner — your first taste of Tennis Destination hospitality.

Day 2

Rallies & Royal Ruins

After breakfast, we head to Riad Tennis Club, where Morocco’s own Mehdi Tahiri welcomes you to the court. For the next two and a half hours, he’ll do what he does best — reigniting rhythm, flow, and joy through play. Over lunch at the club, the camaraderie begins to bloom. This afternoon, step into the quiet grandeur of Rabat: from the whitewashed charm of the Kasbah of the Oudaias to the Roman echoes of Chellah, and across the river to a private lunch in Salé. We’ll close with a visit to the Mohammed VI Museum, followed by dinner at Dinarjat, where live music and candlelight guide us deeper into Morocco’s imperial grace.

Day 3

Serves at Sunrise, Echoes of Empires

After a nourishing Moroccan breakfast, we return to the court for an early 8:30 session — another 2.5 hours with Mehdi, this time at Club Cheminot, a storied venue that once hosted WTA matches and now welcomes us for a morning of high-spirited play. By 11AM, we’re back at the hotel to freshen up and share a quick lunch before setting out eastward. On the road to Fez, we pause for a step back in time — walking among the hauntingly beautiful Roman ruins of Volubilis. As golden light settles on olive groves, we arrive in Fez and gather for a soulful dinner at Maison Blanche, where Moroccan tradition meets elegant refinement. The night is yours to unwind before tomorrow’s deeper immersion.

From Fez to the Sahara: The Journey Into Stillness

What follows is no ordinary road trip — it’s a pilgrimage through Morocco’s soul. Over the next three days, we’ll descend from the spiritual heights of Fez into cedar-scented forests, wind through the Middle Atlas, pass ochre-hued kasbahs, and ride alongside ancient caravan routes once threaded with salt, spices, and stories. These days invite you to surrender — not just to landscape, but to legacy. To slow down. To listen. To remember who you are when the world grows quiet.

Day 4

Your arrival at the “ochre city”

After breakfast, we make our way to Racine Club of Fez, where a morning of inspired tennis awaits. Here you’ll be welcomed by our host, Hicham Tazi — a true pioneer of Moroccan tennis and national leader in player development. Over 2.5 vibrant hours, you’ll sharpen your game, rally with local members, and feel the rhythm of Fez through each swing. A fresh Moroccan lunch is served at the club — a moment to savor and connect before the city reveals its deeper layers.

At 2PM, we begin an unforgettable immersion. First, you’ll witness the centuries-old craft of Fassi pottery in a traditional clay workshop. Then, wander through the famed Chouara Tanneries — an explosion of color and scent, where leather is dyed using ancient methods unchanged for generations. We’ll also pay tribute to Moulay Idriss, the spiritual founder of Morocco, whose legacy still hums through the alleyways of Fez.

As evening settles in, we gather for dinner at Dar Roumana, a French-Moroccan culinary gem tucked inside a restored riad with panoramic views of the medina. From its delicate tagines to its candlelit charm, it’s a final sensory note to a day steeped in craftsmanship, color, and connection. Return to the hotel and rest — tomorrow, the desert calls.

Day 5

The Call of the Dunes: From Fez to the Edge of the Sahara

After an energizing breakfast, we rise early for a final morning session on the Fez courts — a golden-hour rally from 7:30 to 9:00AM to awaken the body before a journey that stirs the soul. With rackets set aside and spirits high, we begin our drive south toward Merzouga — the gateway to the great dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Along the way, Morocco reveals its many faces. We pass through the alpine charm of Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and pause for lunch in Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. As the landscapes shift from cedar forests to palm groves, we stop for sweet mint tea in Errachidia — a desert outpost where silence speaks volumes.

By sunset, the golden sands of Merzouga shimmer on the horizon. Camels await to ferry us through the twilight to our luxurious desert camp, where showers and chilled beverages greet you like old friends. After a candlelit dinner under a sky bursting with stars, the night unfolds around a bonfire — with live Gnawa music, rhythmic drums, and barefoot laughter that echoes into the dunes. Tonight, joy needs no translation.

Day 6

Sunrise & Saharan Stillness

If you rise early today, the Sahara will gift you her most treasured secret — a sunrise so breathtaking it silences even the wind. Golden light spills across the dunes like a benediction. For the early birds, we begin with yoga or a gentle walk through the sand — a moving meditation under a sky awakening to fire.

After breakfast, we set out to explore the local village and desert culture. You’ll uncover ancient fossils etched in stone, sample the region’s famed dates, and learn about Saharan traditions that stretch back millennia. Lunch is a treat — Medfouna, the desert’s beloved “Berber pizza,” served fresh and hot from traditional earthen ovens.

By afternoon, we return to the camp for time to unwind — whether it’s a dip in the pool, a good book in hand, or a chilled drink by your side as the desert hush wraps around you. Tomorrow, we travel west toward Ouarzazate — Morocco’s cinematic gem — but tonight, let the silence linger just a little longer.

Day 7

From Dunes to the Door of the Desert

With the desert still echoing in your soul, we bid farewell to Merzouga and begin a striking journey westward. This is a day where the landscape itself tells stories — from jagged gorges to sweeping valleys and kasbahs carved from sunbaked earth.

We’ll pause for mint tea in the palm-shaded town of Tinghir and enjoy lunch en route in the Dadès Valley, famous for its rose gardens and towering rock formations. The scenery evolves like a film reel — fitting, as we soon arrive in Ouarzazate, Morocco’s cinematic capital and the backdrop for legendary films like Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia.

Check into your boutique riad or desert-inspired hotel and relax before dinner. Tonight, we dine beneath lanterns, with the scent of saffron and slow-roasted meats in the air. The stars here shine bold and clear — a perfect setting to reflect, reconnect, and ready yourself for the imperial jewels still to come.

Day 8

Sunrise & Saharan Stillness

After a nourishing breakfast, we warm up for a spirited morning on the courts with Mustapha Chabar — a national coach, adventurer, and spirited soul who once biked across Morocco just to feel its rhythm. Under Ouarzazate’s sun-kissed skies, he’ll lead a 2-hour session designed to challenge and recharge, blending technique with joy.

From there, our journey through Morocco’s cinematic heart begins. We’ll visit the Kasbah of Tifoultoute, a crumbling fortress once home to Glaoui leaders, offering sweeping views of the desert below. Then, step into a living film set at Kasbah Aït Benhaddou — a UNESCO World Heritage site whose earthen walls have starred in classics from Gladiator to Game of Thrones.

After a hearty local lunch, we hit the road toward Marrakech, winding through the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass of the High Atlas Mountains. As the altitude shifts and colors change, we descend into the vibrant pulse of the Red City — where the final chapter of your tennis odyssey begins.

Welcome To Marrakech

The moment you arrive in Marrakech, the air changes — a heady mix of orange blossoms, spice, and possibility. This is Morocco’s heartbeat: bold, electric, and unapologetically alive. Behind its red clay walls, centuries of culture swirl with the rhythm of modern life — where snake charmers and rooftop DJs share the same skyline. From tranquil riads to buzzing souks, Marrakech is both a sanctuary and a spectacle. And now, it’s yours to explore.

Day 9

Legends & Lanterns in the Red City

Today, we slow down. A relaxed morning allows you to sleep in, sip mint tea, and ease into the rhythm of Marrakech. Around 10:30, we head to the prestigious Royal Tennis Club of Marrakech for an unforgettable session with Moroccan tennis legend Hicham Arazi — a former world #20 who once bested Federer and Agassi on the global stage. For 2.5 hours, you’ll rally where champions have trained.

After a leisurely lunch, we dive into the city’s pulse — from the winding alleys of the medina to the serenity of the Majorelle Gardens, and the artisans of the souks crafting stories in leather and brass. Tonight, we gather for a flavorful Moroccan feast at Al Fassia — an iconic, women-run restaurant known for its soulful dishes and timeless hospitality. The evening is yours to wander, and if the spirit calls, follow the lantern-lit hum of Jemaa el-Fnaa, where music, magic, and Marrakech never sleep.

Day 10

Final Sets & Farewell Sparks

Our final full day in Morocco begins with a spirited morning session on Marrakech clay. One last rally. One more chance to feel the rhythm of the game beneath North African sun. By now, you’re not just playing better — you’re playing freer.

After a relaxing lunch, it’s time to explore the souks at your own pace. Whether you’re searching for handwoven rugs, spices, leather goods, or a piece of Morocco to carry home in your suitcase, the afternoon is yours to wander and discover. You’ll have plenty of time to shop for meaningful souvenirs — those small objects that hold big memories.

But while you browse… the Souk Showdown is on.

Each traveler will receive $10 (or the dirham equivalent) and exactly 45 minutes for a playful challenge: find the most unique or meaningful item you can — with one catch: you must bargain for it.

Competition Rules:

  • Bargaining is mandatory. No full-price purchases!

  • Stick to your budget. No borrowing, no gifts from shopkeepers.

  • You’ll present your treasure at our evening tea — and share the story behind it.

  • Our Tennis Destination panel will select the winner, who will receive a surprise gift and a Souk Showdown Champion certificate (frame-worthy, of course).

As the sun sets, we gather for one final night together at Chez Ali, a fantasia of firelight, live music, horseback shows, and Moroccan magic. There’s laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt farewells. You arrived as travelers. You leave as a family — one forged through play, presence, and the rediscovery of joy.

A fond farewell

All good things begin in Marrakech, the imperious, “ochre-walled” capital of Morocco. Seat of Almoravid emperors, UNESCO-inscribed medinas, and resplendent souks; bearing all the influences of its long and storied history. Senegalese traders, Andalusian princes, and galivanting bohemians who, during the long 1960s, found a welcome home among its souks, cafes, and quartiers. Now it’s your turn.

Day 11

Until We Meet Again

As your Moroccan tennis journey comes to a close, we want to express our deepest gratitude. For the past 10 nights and 11 days, you allowed us the honor of guiding you — not just across cities and courts, but through moments of laughter, connection, and rediscovery. From the imperial charm of Rabat to the soulful stillness of the Sahara, from joyful rallies to late-night conversations under starlit skies — you brought this journey to life.

We hope you leave with more than souvenirs. We hope you leave with new friendships, renewed joy, and a deeper love for the game — and for yourself.

Wherever your next serve may land, know that you always have a home with us.

Thank you. Shukran. Merci. We can’t wait to welcome you again.
